Let's just hope this sad individual has given his bins away and taken up stamp collecting! Everybody makes mistakes at time to time, but to deliberately go out of your way to 'fabricate' a bird is beyond belief! Well done Ian on following up your suspicions. If you take it upon yourself to 'cheat' in this hobby- you are only cheating one person and that's yourself.
