I'd never rely on any one feature alone, instead focussing on a suite of pertinent features and wherever possible call. Either way this pair continue to provide a severe headache for many birders and with good reason

Not sure if that answers James' questions Dennis, nor if he was actually claiming to have seen one in the county?

James, take a look at the article on the Worcester Birding website on the seperation of the two species. It's pretty good and probably the best treatment I've seen on the Internet.

Marsh tits are quite rare in this area and it is most probable you have seen a willow tit smile.gif

2 collard doves - i have names them freddie and phillip
2 song thrush - first time
1 chaffinch - my first male
1 coal tit - on my bird table



how do you tell the differance between marsh and willow not sure if i senn a marsh?
