After seeing the Swift at Watergrove this a.m., certainly my latest ever in GM, I decided to do a bit of research on the database and in the old GM Bird Reports and was surprised to find out how many October and even November records there have been since 1972. I don't have the earlier reports, apart from 1971 which I've lent to someone. Hopefully, this might jog their memory

October Records

1977 - 5 records, latest 9th Rochdale
1978 - an incredible 40 records, latest 27th Pennington
1979 - 22nd Swinton
1983 - 2nd Hyde
1984 - 4th Sale
1993 - 2nd Doffcocker Lodge
1996 - 26th Castleton (Rochdale)
2000 - 3rd Elton resr

November Records

1973 - 6th Leigh
2001 - 4th Bramall Hall Park
2004 - 15th Spring Water Park
