Manx Shearwater 2 Guillimot 2 Gannet 3...seen a bit further out in the Irish Sea. Black Guillimot 2 Shags Oystercatchers Grey Heron 1 Eider 2 Scoter 2 Common Tern 2 Curlew 5 Redshank 2 Dunlin 1 Carrion Crow 2 on beach. Hooded Crows...on the beach. Great Black-backed Gull 2 Herring Gulls...including our 2 pet ones perched on our hotel ledge.

Peel Bay this weekend:- At least 40 and possibly 50 plus Eider - courtship behaviour At least 6 Black Guillemot At least 50 and possibly nearer 100 Fulmar At least 4 Gannet Also 3/4 Grey Seal & at least a couple of Razorbill

Just spent a week on the Island, experiencing the usual changeable weather.
Hooded Crow Rook Jackdaw Meadow Pipit Black-Headed Gull Cormorant Herring Gull Oystercatcher Curlew Kittiwake Raven Swallow House Martin Linnet Blackbird Magpie Blue Tit Chaffinch Robin Moorhen Mallard Heron House Sparrow Hen Harrier (Ring-tail) Starling Woodpigeon Sanderling (few sill in breeding plumage) Dunlin Ringed Plover Guillemot Mistle Thrush (group of circa 20 on power cables) Goldfinch Pied Wagtail Lesser Black-backed Gull Canada Geese "Grey" Geese (Circa 200, looked like Pink-footed) Rock Pipit Eider Chough (seen at Sound, St Michael's Island, Old Laxey, Port Groudle) Fulmar Barnacle Geese (Individual birds in the harbours at both Ramsey & Castletown) Sparrowhawk Collared Dove Grey Heron Redshank Gannet Manx Shearwater Shag Turnstone Purple Sandpiper (Peel Castle) Greater Black-backed Gull Wheatear (Scarlett Point) Feral Pigeon Black Guillemott (Peel Castle) Peregrine Falcon (Ballasalla, Douglas Harbour & 3 soaring together above Port Jack)
Lots of Grey Seals at numerous locations! At least 6 Risso's Dolphins at Kallow Point
Butterflies: Small White, Meadow Brown, Common Blue, Wall Brown, Painted Lady
Dipped on the Basking Sharks! Very dissapointed with the boat trips on offer, the customer service was appalling.
Fort Island/Derbyhaven: 50 + Brent Goose (Light bellied) 2 Chough Single Little Egret Flock (Possibly over 20 but certainly not hundreds) of Golden Plover At least 2 Shelduck 2 Turnstone Eider Grey Seal - 1 possibly 2 Plus usual Hoodies, Redshank, Wigeon... but no sign of Grey Plover
