First visit for me, looks like the place has good potenial, lots of birds around even with all the digging, a few herons, loads of mute swans, canada geese, cormorants, buzzards, pochard and tufties, great crested grebe, snipe, reminds me a lot of penny, location points for what looks like about 5 hides, maybe more when completed, all quite nicely put in key locations, the visitor center looks like a modern piece of art, very nice design, looking forward to seeing it finished __________________ Did you see it? It was small and brown and flew that way.........................

Loads of building work today, such a shame was hoping to get some good birding in Mute swans and Redshank did not seem to be bothered by the work, Keep Birding __________________

Yes I had been told about this Hobby and its preferred perch of an M6 lamp, nevertheless I nearly crashed the car when I joined the motorway yesterday and saw it! Brilliant. Brockholes is coming on in leaps and bounds now and should be officially opened as a LWT Reserve next Easter - just in time for the Whimbrel roost. Cant wait. __________________
