As we probably have many fluffy fledglings decimating your feeders at the moment, a little bit of a reminder about desease and garden feeders and to keep your feeding area clean.
We have noticed (first time I have seen signs of this disease) a young Greenfinch, a particularly subsectable bird to this disease looking lethargic, puffed up and panting, and I was able to catch it!
So we will be looking closely at all the birds around our feeders, and giving the feeders an extra big clean over the next few days and even take them down all together if we see more birds showing signs.
And Samonela is a big killer too, so get cleaning!!
Cheers
