Good views of a single Sedge Warbler singing on the island of Painswick Park fishing lake in Wythenshawe this evening at 5.15pm, first one I've seen here.

Also present on the lake:

17 Canada Geese
4 Coots
4 Moorhen
7 Mallard
1 Lesser Black-backed Gull

I went through there tonight only spotted 1 canada gosling last time they had 5 disbelief.gif not surprised really theres hardly any water on it.

there was a lot of activity in the tale grass near the bramble patch

I spent an just over an hour there this morning again and I was greeted with a pair of Bullfinches

A buzzard at the WPCA (unable to get a picture)
A Nuthatch which was in the same place as yesterday but i got a better look at it

A pair of Bullfinches

Bird 01

I think it's a whitethroat

Early morning call

This one isn't very clear

Also spotted what i think was a couple of Goldcrest as they looked to small to be a wren

Quick visit with Dog this morning:

No sign of Spotted Flycatcher but around were:

1 Lesser Whitethroat - still present (rattling away and giving me my best views ever of this species in a bare tree just metres in front of me - brilliant!! biggrin.gif)

Several Whitethroat
1 Chiffchaff
1 Bullfinch (male)
Several Goldfinches
2 Mistle Thrushes
+ others

I can confirm it was a Spotted Flycatcher seen in the park.

Ian Plant kindly made me aware of a possible Spotted Flycatcher that he had seen in the Conservation area.

I have checked the area out for 10 minutes this morning (couldn't stay longer due to work commitments) and although no sign of the possible Spotted Fly still did manage to see:

1 Lesser Whitethroat
1 Common Whitethroat
1 Chiffchaff
1 Female Blackcap (in the area of the Flycatcher)

All these were seen in the far left hand corner of the small nature area next to the allotments.

I understand that we are awaiting confirmation of photos but I can easily re-check the area either early morning or evenings as this is a place just around the corner from me that I do visit occasionally.
