sounds like a touchy subject there Mark, it looks like Mike has kept your secret
yep, defo dont tell insurance companies you bird watch or any excuse to get out of it, it is quite sad that i sometimes see more birds on the way to a site than when i actually get there

Starling swarming at Denton Golf course (Audenshaw Reservoirs) caused my kids to say rude words once when I was driving along the M60 in rush hour Apparently birding & cars don't mix PS don't tell the insurers otherwise they will make up a 'hobbies' category and put birders on the dangerous list!
i have a bad habit that i must break before i crash, is it only me or do we all bird watch while driving?
i actually almost forgot i was driving today while i was trying to indentify a passing bird, i was not thinking about driving at all, i was actually thinking "Damn i wish my binoculars were not in the boot" i dont think driving down the road looking while through binoculars is a good idea, i am sure i am not alone here?
Maybe this topic could also be under John Ts topic "Are all birders mad"
