Adult Whooper Swan flew NW at 9:15 this morning, whilst a Green Sandpiper was present on the bottom pool and a juvenile Ringed Plover was on the top pool at 10am.
Can anyone suggest how to access the site, I recall going through a farm yard but last time I visited the route had been closed, This was before distribution hub was built. Any suggestions appreciated.
You can either access the site from the south either from Astley or Tydesley, look on google earth for all the access points ,there are several public footpaths that cross the railway,or access from the north is off the A6 just beyond the Worsley Trading Estate down Wharton Lane.
