I groaned too when I saw it, Steve. I'm just the poor mug who has to implement it in the report. That's why I put an alphabetical index in it, as everyone's confused!

I note from the latest British Birds (RBBP report) that the taxonomic order seem to have been changed yet again! I'm getting to wish that DNA had never been discovered!

Grebes have been moved again (must be feeling dizzy) and passerines have been shuffled all over the place. Are all our field guides suddenly out of date? Does the new Collins Guide have the new order? Will the county report and this website incorporate these changes - or is it not worth it because they'll have changed it again before the end of the year?
