im going on holiday to the pyrenees 21st june to 28th june.staying in a little village called bareges.it is 45mins from the airport(lourdes). the appartment is large with two seperate bedrooms so im trying to find someone to come with me to share the cost and enjoy the wildlife.the owners are english but have lived in bareges for 20 years and know all the best locations.the birdlife is superb and you can expect to see.golden,bonnellis,booted and short toed eagle.also eagle owl,alpine accentor,snow finch,citril finch,capercaillie,and rock thrush.behind the appartment in the woods are good numbers of black woodpecker.also a good chance of the elusive wall creeper.finally three types of vulture griffon,egyptian,and bearded(lammergeier) with 7 nest sites of the latter.flight is manchester to lourdes.so if anyone is interested please send me a message.the overall cost is very reasonable.
