I think the one Craig is referring to is called Ashton Broadwings in Ashton-in-Makerfield. I have been trying to find some contact details for them, but unfortunately cannot , but if it helps they are based in the first building (a bungalow) on the left after the houses at the end of the road named "Ashton Heath", in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan. Click HERE for google map showing location. Hope this helps...
yep, thats the one Rob and I cant find any details either. Sorry Eddie. If I do manage to find anything I'll PM you.

Over the summer holidays there has been a company showing owls, falcons and other birds of prey at Kenyon Farm on Winwick Lane. I can't remember off the top of my head what they're called, but the kids got their pics taken holding a bird each, so they're used to being handled by the public.
I think I've got the number at home - if you want it, I could bring it to the LOS meeting on Friday if you're going.

There's a bird of prey place in Ashton - cant remember the name at the moment but Rob or another Ashtonian might. I've seen them at a few 'events'. No idea if they charge or not. I'll post if/when I get the name.

Recently the Leigh Ornithological Society did a talk/slide show to a local brownies group on birds. The evening was very successful and the kids enjoyed it. Following on from there we had a request to put on a show/talk to the youth of Leigh Rugby Union club. We hope to get the kids interested in the local bird life (feathered) and to appreciate birds and their environment. To keep the youths interested apart from slide show, quizes etc I was hoping to have the services of someone with a captive hawk or owl just for a short while during the evening. If anyone knows of anyone out their who would fit the bill I would appreciate a call. Eddie King.
