There's been a few sightings of late around Leigh Town Centre, hopefully they are nesting somewhere locally.

Nearly Town Centre St Helens Rd Leigh

Bridge Inspectors at our place have taken a photo of a used Dippers nest under a bridge on what I think is Pennington Brook they didn't see any birds in the area but this might be where the Dippers that were seen at Pennington Flash came from ?

Sprint training on Leigh Harriers this morning,

1 Oystercatcher over West, Heading for Penny
3 Swallow, 2 flew straight through 1 flycatching over football pitch. Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff and Blackcap
heard. Plenty Goldfinch about and a few Starling feeding on football pitch at the side of Leigh Harriers.
A Song Thrush was singing and no joke sounded like an American Police siren.

About 0745 this morning, Scott, I counted 40 just in my line of sight on Tesco's car park. Hopefully when the squalls kicked off they were able to retreat under the trolley shelters!
