A Chiffchaff showing some characteristics of the northern races was in a Long Lane garden today (info from Andy Makin).

took a stroll this evening around 5 o clock.

2 Willow tit
6 reed bunting
3 chiffchaff
song thrush
kestrel
and great views of 2 tree creepers biggrin.gif

quick walk this afternoon produced:

2 kestrels
2 yellowhammer
and a worn and tattered buzzard which dropped out of a tree about 10 feet away and gave me a fright biggrin.gif which then circled around before heading off towards hag fold area.

hey i dont really see many posts on here of the area around the sewerage farm in Hindley green. This may be becase the area is unexplored or it just isnt very good. smile.gif Its a few streets down from me so im usually over there, but as im off college i thought id give it a good goin over with the bins. Wasn't a bad walk neither.
