Dragged Jimmy Meadows around on a 7-hour mooch, but unfortunately there wasn`t the warbler bonanza we had hoped for. However we did manage the following :
Singing Whitethroat, Double figures of White Wagtails, 2 Wheatear, 3 Ringed Plover, 2 Ruff, Black-tailed Godwit, Common Sandpiper, 4 Buzzard, good counts of Linnet & Goldfinch, Willow Warblers & Chiffchaff aplenty.
Lucky you didn't go this morning - it was dead - very few migrants, a handful of Chiffchaff and Blackcap, no wagtails at all - and it was flippin' cold! ( The 2 Ruff were still there whoop de doop...)
It was visible in fields just by the entrance to Bradley Orchard Farm, Bradley Lane. SJ544 773 At first view it appeared from out of a ditch/furrow, so you could have been in the right place but it may have been hidden from view ?

To round proceedings off we made the short trip over to Bradley to see the long-staying Cattle Egret..........Beltin !
