Always loved that stretch of water - used to play there as a kid, also saw the GWE there last year, plus some Goosander.
Hope they leave it alone - I'm often up that way walking, and it's nice just to glance across at what's on, even if they are 'only' Mute Swan, Canada Goose and Mallard.
Just seen a advertisement in Wigan Observer about redevelopment into a marina at this site but they are calling it Pagefield Lake my god its had some names this one sounds a bit posh to me its still limey to me
This is the one that the Great White Egret Reappeared at will these developers leave nothing alone
