1 willow tit in mixed flock with goldcrest great, blue & coal tits just inside Rossendale (near the chimney) when seen yesterday. Thought it was worth mentioning due to the scarcity of this bird in the area and no doubt this flock will move across the boundary into Greater Manchester

cheers Kevin

Deeply Vale itself is outside - the others are in but you never said thats where you saw them, just Deeply Valebiggrin.gifwink.gif

Thanks Dave but surely it depends where you are in in the Valley and the lower section I was in is in Rochdale and therefore GM.
Have a look at the OS Map.
The Buzzard was over Stand Lees farm and the Snipe in the part of Cheeden brook which is in Rochdale.

Great Stuff Pete, though should be posted in 'Out-of area' as a) Deeply Vale is not Rochdale and b) its not in Greater Manchesterbiggrin.gif
