RE: Hollingworth Lake 13th Jan

I arrived just as they were leaving! all 10 left west heading over Shaw Moss, no sign of them there or at Kingsway.

Looking like a good year for Rochdale!

I was day off work today and was pleased to get a telephone call from Simon Hitchen, Simon had found a pair of Gadwall, the birds were out in midd water. In general birds at this location dont stay around long too much boat traffic!
After seeing the ducks I took a walk over to Whittaker wood, not a lot to say about this location.
Back at Hollingworth some Two hours later 10 Whoopers had made a surprise appearance, its possible that there were two family parties 6 adults and 4 immatures.
Hollingworth,
Pair Gadwall,
5 Great crested Grebe
6 Goosander
!0 Whooper
