Always worth a look on E-Bay to find a bargain, as are the ads in most bird magazines. If you don't mind them being secondhand it's also worth checking In Focus's range if you are up at Martin Mere, as you can test them on birds up there too! Good luck.
For something good value at a decent price i'd recommend the bushnell range of binocs. I've got the 10x42 H2O's. Great bins, don't mind a bit of a bashing or wetting in extreme birding conditions! Only downside which I think is worth bearing in mind is that they aren't good in low light levels but this is always where the £700+ bins excel. I have tested others in the range and they have just as good clarity, quality and strength, all for about £80. Thanks. Henry.
am after a bit of help. I am a bit behind now with the technologies of bins etc and i was wondering if anyone can recommend a cheapish pair that are of a decent quality. My better other half has now got an intrest in birding and i want to get her a pair of bins so we dont have to share my pair and we miss stuff.
Cheers in advance.
P.S any of you out there selling a pair of Leica's for a tenner would be welcomed!! heehee!
