Dave Winnard and myself have embarked on a photography project which wed like to tell you about and maybe, if youre interested, youd like to get involved.
For his final year at blackpool uni, dave had to devise a brief and execute it. He is studying to become a Wildlife Photographer. His idea was to take pictures of people in their environment and his subjects were to be birdwatchers of greater Manchester - all different kinds of people in all different kinds of places, with one thing in common.
Dave ran his idea by me to see what I thought, and I liked it, he then asked me would I be interested in photographing the same subjects from my professional prospective as an editorial/portrait/people photographer and wed then put these images side by side wildlife - portrait. I liked daves idea even more.
So we began this back in November gently with people either, dave or myself knew already, progressed onto a few people we thought would be interesting subjects - some of which we have now shot (thank you all of you, so far), some of which wed still like too over the next couple of months well be getting back in touch. It is slowly becoming a snapshot of Manchester birders of our time
If you would like to be a subject of ours and be a part of this project, please get in touch with either myself or dave and well see if we can meet up when you are out birding, tag along for an hour or so and take some snaps. I assure you its painless and even might be fun! Dont be shy, drop us a line!
Cheers for now
Paul and Dave.
