A decent selection on the Tame on the Dukinfield/Ashton border today:
Grey Heron - 2 adult birds, one on Cooper's Ride and one near the weir Dipper - 2, one on the bank along Cooper's Ride and another in pursuit of a Kingfisher upstream! Grey Wagtail beside the Dipper on Cooper's Ride Pair of Goosander from bridge at Whitelands Road
A mixed flock of approximately 10 Blue and Great Tits also contained a Goldcrest.
4 Goosander (2 males), just one female yesterday. 2 Grey Heron 1 Dipper heard at Grove Road, but the River Tame is as high as I have ever seen it. It burst its banks earlier further upstream at Well-i-hole in Greenfield. Several Nuthatch calling around the area
