These waters are covered by WeBS (National Winter Wildfowl Counts) Geoff.
The plovers may be from the industrial estate at Hindley Green near Westlake.

New thread hopefully to cover an under reported area of god,s county,this morning covered a to z page 84 7d and 7e.

Diggle Flash? and Bolton house road and fan lodge,27 species jotted down excluding gulls over and feral pigeons.Mostly all the regular birds but strangley no redwing or fieldfare that were evident on my last visit.
of note.
1 great crested grebe 2 Goldeneye
1 gry heron 1 kestrel

overhead and presumed roosting on the 'ppg ind estate' 126 lapwing and 32 golden ploverbiggrin.gif.
