WORTHINGTON LAKES/CROWN AREA
Permalink Closed

Quick look round this a.m. produced:

7 grey partridge
c30 tree sparrows (in two flocks)
2 yellowhammer
small mobile flocks of redwing
1 buzzard
c350 rooks feeding in stubble
and, for the second time, an aberrant song thrush with a darkish breast, large white patches on the secondaries and white tips to the end of the primaries

The Lakes are attracting large but intermittent groups of gulls (common, herring, lesser black-backed and black-headed) bathing/roosting after feeding on a nearby tip. Worth regular checking for something rarer.
