Any journey from Scotland will nearly always see us call here, it was a wet day but we managed to added notables such as Tree Sparrow and our first Willow Warbler to our list and a "possible" Bittern dropped in but was just a fleeting glimpse corner of the eye jobbie.
A Pectoral Sandpiper turned up yesterday morning whilst we were in the area, it was visible from the left hand hide up the path sorry I didn't record the hide name, thank you to the warden who directed us to it.
Also our first Cuckoo of the year, which has been around since April 28th.
Distant views of the Snow Goose today with 100s of Barnacle Geese. It was actually across the bay viewed from North of Anthorn village, only 5 minutes from the RSPB reserve.
A note of caution that I also had great views of 3 leucistic Barnacle Geese so check those primaries.

Beautiful setting overlooking the Soway but the action was on a small scrape by the side of the road.
c40 Lapwing were put up by an unsuccessful hunting Merlin. Other waders on the pool included 3 Golden Plover, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 6 Curlew and the star attraction - a juvenile Stilt Sandpiper. Waterfowl numbered c30 Teal and 6 Shoveler.
A juv Peregrine flew within 10 metres causing havoc amongst the corvids. Then a thick fog rolled up the Solway and that was that.
