RE: Roundthorn Ind. Est, Wythenshawe.

Regarding my report of a Pied Wagtail with a yellow face which seems to have caused some comment this seemed to be an adult male that was lemon yellow about the face and cheeks to quite a striking degree. I have often observed a more muted grey-toned yellow before in juveniles in particular but this bird stood out. Tony Darby digi-binned a record shot of it. It was nevertheless just a Pied Wagtail not anything rarer or a hybrid but a rather splendid one nevertheless!

5 Mistle Thrushes
1 Fieldfare - guarding a heavily berried rowan on Catford Road, could become a target of the Waxwings soon
4 Starlings
8 Woodpigeons
1 Blackcap - male, eating pyracantha berries along Dallimore Road
6 Greenfinches
1 Grey Heron - over
1 Cormorant - over
5 Common Gulls
