If you've got £500 to spend on Bins you should be able to purchase a good pair for that sort of price.Its also worth thinking about buying a secondhand pair instead,as bins should last for 30 years at least,so it may be possible to buy a better model,but secondhand.I would suggest you go to somewhere like Focalpoint in Cheshire(they have a web site) where you can have a look through different pairs to find one that suits you best.(Always worth trying to haggle the price down a bit).Leigh Ornithological Association have meetings etc(should be a link somewhere on this web site for them) if you want to contact them.Living near Pennington Flash is great as its probably the best birdwatching site in Greater Manchester,most common species (as well as a few rarer ones)can be seen there over the course of the year. Just come back from Cyprus of holiday, wife bought me a bird book and a pair of bins and I am hooked! Live near Pennington Flash, can any one please recommend a pair of bins for £400-£500 got confused as I have looked at so many over the lat 10 days will they last or need to be upgraded in the future and tell me if there are any clubs around.
