Birding in South West USA

Just got back from 2 weeks touring Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada. Very exciting as every bird we saw except house sparrow and starling were not native to the UK
Saw loads of raptors but only identified Golden Eagle, Turkey Vulture, Red Tailed Hawk and American Kestrel for sure, there are so many possibilities and without a scope they are not easy to sort out.
Quite a few Great Blue Herons plus Black Crowned Night Heron.
Many spectacular colours such as Summer, and Western Tanager.Black-Headed Grossbeak, Yellow Warbler as well as Broad Tailed and Black-Chinned Hummingbirds.
I'll not bore you with a long list but if anyone out there visits this area it is worth knowing that all the Visitors Cetres we visited (and there were quite a lot!!) had lists of birds found in the area which were a great help, but they were not always on display.
