Excellent morning indeed

The Short-eared Owl was picked up amongst corvids mobbing it @ 7.28 it managed to shake them off and circled round several times gaining height and went off SE

A Flock of 17 Whoopers flew south down the Irwell Valley and across Salford @ 7.53.

a Massive movement of Pinkfeet with 19 Skeins approx or circa 2989 in total but this count will be out due to the distance of some of the birds. (and lumping all the skiens together in this total)

up too late to get to Heaton Park so watched from the apartment - lots of activity today so no need to look through peoples windows - as Ian reckons!! Think the height helped with the counts.

Redwing 464 west
Blackbird west
Starling 59 west
Woodpigeon 97 west
Lapwing 22 West ( 2 high over flat and a distant flock)
GSW west
Chaffinch 14 west
Siskin (H)
Dunnock 5 NW right over flat - bizarre!
Swallow 2 SW
Alba Wag 7 SW

Peregrine male - stooped at something right over flat and seen a further 3 times - this is the bird seen at heaton park yesterday.
