Andy Makin had probable Red-footed Falcon over Hindley today, seen twice high chasing insects and eventually seen flying off towards Hindley Prison and the Low Hall area. Although Andy is certain it was of this species no plumage was seen and the birds was tentatively identified from it's distinctive flight and behaviour so it seems only fair at this point to leave it as a probable only.
