Don't forget (as if anyone ever remembers ) that the website does host a page just for foreign and UK birding hols. It allows as many photos as you desire to be published and is the best way to allow any trips to be utilised as a reference for others
Got back yesterday after spending 10 days in Cape Town. In all my time ther I saw 1 Barn Swallow only. I did however see lots of other stuff, report to follow later today. Cheers Ian
Does anyone know the outcome of plans by the S. African Govt. to build a new airport slap bang over the most important site for Swallows in the World in preparation for the World Cup? I think Birdlife International and the RSPB were trying to protest. It could be far far worse in the long term for our Swallows than some bad weather.
just seen on a website that s/africa has had 5 days of incessant rain and the swallows are grounde both by the rain and lack of insects to eat hopefully the swallows that come back to england have already set off otherwise their could be a lack of swallows this summer
