Cheers Paul. Will keep checking. Its easy to forget when you're abroad that many of the birds just in the hotel grounds or flying overhead can be really good birds. Last time I was in Majorca there were Spotted Flycatchers, Sardinian Warblers and all manner of hirundines added to the sunbed tick list If you do get any more info it would be great.

Craig always look up!no honest check all the swallows and swifts you should get red-rumped or alpine swift among other thing flying over, always seems to be sardinian warblers about when I go to spain, plus check out all gulls, do not know this area but will make some enquires, keep birding
The missus has booked our annual getaway and we're off to spain on the Costa Brava at Santa Susanna in late spring. This is a family holiday so I'll be restricted to a couple of hours here and there and I wont have a car either.
The resort looks quite small and is surrounded by fields and some woodland so it looks like walking or cycling around the local area might produce a few birds. I believe there is a national park woodland nearby so that might be good as well - can anyone confirm that? If anyone can offer any other advice on the place or nearby birding spots it would be most appreciated.
