Bloomin freezing today.

45 species including a ringtail Hen Harrier with day-glo wing tags - I'm sure that does nothing for it's camouflage effects :(

Whooper Swans very vocal and head bobbing to each other. Hardly any Pink-feet around but I think they come in to roost later on. Tree Sparrows all checking out the nest boxes and seemed to be pairing up.

So you dipped on the Ruddy Shelduck from the centrally heated, armchair laden hide then? Don't panic......I suspected it would have been more comfortable in a cage eating best Warbi's bread.smile.gif

Visited Martin Mere today 18th Jan:

51 species not including the feral barnies or the accompanying Red Breasted Goose.

The list includes all the usual suspects (i.e. Whooper Swan PF Goose) so I wont list everything, but highlights included M&F peregrine harrassing just about anything they fancied a bite of, Little Owl and more Pintail than i've seen for a long time.

Not a bad day considering it was blowing a hoolie most of the time with heavy showers just for good measure.
