11,30am. I was walking down Alpha Street and heard a wren screaming for its life, so I turned around to see it being pursued by this adult male sparrowhawk. The wren escaped by hiding in the scrub, and the sparrowhawk was so transfixed on its position that it didn't even notice I was stood 5 feet from it. I took this shot on my mobile phone! As it was the only thing I had on me. I'm sure all the wildlife photographers on here feel my pain
100+ Redwings seen last couple of days with smaller numbers of Fieldfare, Song thrush, Mistle thrush and starlings at Regent Park off Ordsall Lane. Lots of berries still around.
110+ redwings 1 fieldfare 5 mistle thrush 1 blackbird 6 starling still no signs of any waxwings, still plenty of berries in the park & surrounding area.
Peregrine tastic today! 10,25am Female Peregrine (possibly the same one from the Gas meter) fighting with a very vocal juvenile Peregrine over Salford Precinct, right above St james's house ,whilst both being harassed by a black headed gull. All 3 flew off over Duchy estate towards Agecroft.
Large female Peregrine currently perched on one of the Liverpool Street gas meters, gave great views as it flew low along Liverpool St from the direction of Clarendon Rec.

A single Peregrine was sat on one of the Liverpool street gasometers for most of this afternoon. Also a pair of Grey wagtails were trying to feed 4 youngsters on Hope street at 11.40am today
Today my daily dog walk around Buile Hill Park produced a pair of Coal Tits.. I can't recall ever seeing this species in the park before? Also the past week there has been a high number of Nuthatch's active throughout the park along with the resident Great spotted Woodpeckers drumming and courting. Plus a small flock of Redwings still present too.
At 12.35pm this afternoon there were two Peregrines, a Kestrel and over 30 nervous Starlings all perched on the Liverpool street gasometers. The Kestrel eventually went off hunting over the EMR scrap yard. There was still a single Peregrine perched on the gasometer later at 15.10.
10.25am a Peregrine flew past me on Coconut grove (just off Churchill way) it was very low down meandering in between rooftops, It then ascended and circled Spruce court a few times before flying off towards the University in the direction of Fredrick rd.
