Phil, Have seen a rise in numbers here in Flixton, but have been seriously ill since May, so have had to curb all birding activities except the garden, had 13 over last week. I havent sussed out where they are roosting. They are on William Wroe early doors most mornings, but I hear them coming in at about 0430-0500 and they seem to come from St Michaels Church or beyond, Flixton House had several in the trees on Saturday when the bee garden was opened.
Personally I thought they were roosting down Duttons Pond as thats were I had seen them back in May during a couple of evenng mooches.
My consultant has now advised me to get back out and about, so I will find where they roost eventually..lol...
FYI a yellow one has been seen around Trafford FC/ Chassen Park area, a couple of months back, i have only seen Green ones..
Walking down Ambleside Road, I saw and heard c10 flying west possibly towards Flixton Park ( Flixton Road fields ). Possible night roost in that direction, I presume.
One over the field adjacent to Whitebeam Close, Timperley today.
Within a stones throw of the Greater Manchester boundary - on 27th, one was being chased by another past the Swan With Two Nicks pub by the River Bollin. Think the chasing bird might have been a juv, it had a shorter tail or summat but it was all over in a flash.

One over my Bury garden. The first. Interesting to see a carrion crow try to see it off. Half hour later it landed in the elm and a magpie flew at it. The parakeet fought back!
Saturday 28th April - 2 flew over me mid-afternoon whilst in the works yard in Reddish. They were flying in a straight line heading towards Levenshulme / Fallowfield.
Workmate had 2 in his Offerton garden one day last week.
I have parakeets visit the apple tree in my garden in Northenden, they are there in the mornings around 8 am and again about 5 in the evening, there are 3 regular visitors but on one occassion there were 5
I had a sole Parakeet flying over Rusholme about an hour before sunset in the direction of Moss Side/Hulme on Saturday 10th March . It looked quite large and thought could it be an Alexandrine Parakeet? Sadly it did not call.
