I had a sole Parakeet flying over Rusholme about an hour before sunset in the direction of Moss Side/Hulme on Saturday 10th March . It looked quite large and thought could it be an Alexandrine Parakeet? Sadly it did not call.

Have had parakeets flying over in the city a couple of mornings this week at ~0830 (well, University of Manchester, near the catholic church on Oxford Road). Only heard them the first time, but the second time saw it was a pair bombing across, I think going roughly South-East.
A work colleague informed me that every night this week at dusk he's seen a pair of ring necked Parakeets fly over his house out of Leverhulme Park in Bolton.
2 just flew over Winsfield Road, Hazel Grove. First I have ever seen or heard in this area. There are historic records of some at Poynton Pool which is within ˝ mile.
Alexandrine Parakeet in my back garden in Heaton Mersey this afternoon. We regularly get flocks of double figures of Ring-necked Parakeets but I have not seen an Alexandrine Parakeet before.

At least 4 daily over my garden in Timperley, presumably part of the larger flock reported from Hale Barns earlier in the year and the flock referred to by Pete below.
Wednesday July 19th Pulled up on my Dane Bank driveway at around 5.20pm and there were 2 in the Silver Birch Tree at the edge of our front garden, their call gave them away. First time I've ever seen them around here and I thought it worth a mention on the relatively quiet Denton thread.
