Ring Ouzels at Watergrove

Two Ring Ouzels (a f./imm & a m.) flew past me at close range this evening as I walked up the bridleway by Old Tom's Wood to the west of the resr. They headed south and may have gone down in the plantation in the SW corner of the resr. A few Redwing about but still no sign of any Fieldfare as yet.
A Kingfisher on the pool by the hide has been about for almost two months. Usually this species only puts in an appearance on a single day in the year. Also seen this morning: A Chiffchaff, 4 Stonechat, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, 4 Goldcrest and a Snipe.
10 Goosander (including one male) spent the whole day on the resr. No wind = no windsurferssmile.gif The highest ever Oct count here.
Little Owl and Sparrowhawk present this afternoon.
