There have, frankly, been some pretty irresponsible posts recently on this forum, with groups of three and four of the same people obviously sharing one car, travelling across the north of England numerous times, in flagrant disregard of the local COVID restrictions, from one of the regions COVID hotspots. But as it stands, Andy, if you travel alone, then you will be doing nothing wrong.

Not just on these forums David, but all over Facebook too. I agree very irresponsible and to paraphrase Kenneth Wolstenholme - They think it's all over - but it isn't now!!
These forecasts >5 days can be very unreliable, but in this case I think there might be something - I wouldn't rely on the detail just yet, though
The tides will be neap, and it'll be low tide in middle of the day
There are numerous places to stand in New Brighton, though not ideal, obvs. The shelters are clearly a problem. Use the Whatsapp groups (with sound on) to pass info
As for Covid, and as I've said elsewhere, it's easy: "Apply common sense, don't be a d*ck"

If the long range weather forecast is correct next Friday and Saturday should be a classic for New Brighton with a fast tracking low producing strong N.W.winds after a day of S.Westerlies. Of course it's a week away so the weather predictions could alter before then, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye on as it's been a few years since we had a decent forecast for New Brighton.

Just been checking the BBC long range on tinternet and Monday and possibly Tuesday next week are looking promising for a bit of seabird passage off New Brighton.Not really a classic blow but could produce a few birds. Pete Berry
