Lesser Whitethroat and Whitethroats now back on territory in the Bredbury area.

A single whimbrel on the recently ploughed field at Goyt Hall Farm between 11.00 - 11.30 at least. Not the least concerned by air-rifle enthusiasts (legitimate) practicing only 50m away.
Also, couple of yellowhammer males nearby and three pairs of goosander on river.

a female LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER was a shock for us this morning in the trees behind our house near Pear Mill. The bird flew off towards Woodbank so not that far from the old trad site of Poise Brook.

12.9.07 - Middle and Goyt Hall Farms - mid pm

Yellow Wagtail - 1st winter bird around the Horsefields and newly ploughed field by Goyt Hall Farm (a good bird for here).

Little Owl - 3 birds noted around Goyt Hall Farm area.
