Sunday, Oct. 28th, afternoon walk.

Meadow Pipits 11
Kestrels 1M 1F
Buzzards 3
Skylarks 5
Stonechats 1M 1F between fields 12 and 13. Same place as last year.
Chaffinches 6+
Redwings 12+
Yellowhammers 10+
LT Tits 10+
Greenfinches 4
Fieldfares/Miss Ths 20+
Woodpigeons 30+
Mute Swan 1 seen flying into Shell Reserve and 1 on field 12 with damaged beak, which then walked
towards field 2.

Couldn't walk very far - paths too overgrown

1 Redwing F4 old orchard
1 Chiffchaff in song F2
1 Skylark F4, 2 - F32, also heard over Isherwood Rd
7 Swallow over F2
1 Kestrel F4

1 Buzzard over Partington and 1 over junc 2 of M60 ( Cheadle ) 15.35

large flock of mistle thrush 50+ moving around the moss,
still mixtures of swallow sand martin and house martin around
pied wags 20+
reed bunting
Hen harrier ringtail pale underneath would suggest female but moss and county tick so i dont care.!!!
seen from millenium trial just behind altrincham sewage works around f17 area this morning
grey wags 4
goldfinch flock/charm 40+
linnet/ yellowhammer.
GSWoodpecker
willow warbler
chiff chaff
buzzard 3
lots of corvids.....

You can report illegal shooting to PC Glyn Walsh - 0161 856 0250 or 07974 777478 - note that some shooting can be legal - but when in doubt I'd report it.

Seen that happening a lot in the past, didn't reallise it wasn't allowed there. Will keep eyes peeled!

At least 5 buzzards this morning some been mobbed my 3 Ravens,
15+ yellowhammer
3 Corn bunting
huge flock or charm of Goldfinch at least 80+ on isherwood road, opposite airport parking area
large number of mistle thrush 50+ in area
and starling flocks in large numbers also,will get round to counting these soon.

have had issues this week with people shooting on the moss if anyone sees this happening
please take deatils of vechicles in area and let me know.
