Sure. Obviously Chorlton Park is the most convienient site for me, considering the days are getting shorter and I work 3/4weekends.

Good idea.

I'm happy to lurk at one or other site one evening - Pete - how about you?

Sounds like a co-ordinated count might be a good idea...

Staff at Platt Fields report that about 5 Parakeets are still roosting in the large ash at the west end of the island and have been since early summer. They've also been seen flying out towards Wilmslow Rd early mornings.

This follows a report from staff at Chorlton Park last weekend that Parakeets are roosting there in a beech tree in the car park.

Egyptian Goose still at Platt Fields Park.

That's very possible - I lost track of a group a couple of weeks ago but they looked to be heading that way - although when I got to PF I couldn't relocate them - but as many of us know, they can be hard to see if silent.

I have had a reliable report of 5 birds flying each morning 2nd-4th Sept before 0700hrs, from the island on Platt Fields Park Lake, towards the Wilmslow Rd end of Platt Fields Park (ie towards Birchfields Park) - so maybe they are roosting on the island?
