Flock of 30 today over the Cargill site next to the canal, mobbing at Sparrowhawk which hung around over the site for about 20 mins, no sign of the Peregrine which is offen seen hunting the Pigeons at Trafford Parks flour mills.
Sparrowhawk was a Female.

That's a known roost site, Dave - we think they are feeding at Eccles sewage works in the daytime, under Barton bridge. John Shakeshaft (a birder who works there sometimes) reckoned they flew off in the direction of the (warm) Trafford Centre. I don't get many roost counts from there, so that's useful.
