late morning/early afternoon c60 long tailed tit in various flocks around walk biggest flock 20+ smallest 8, 16 goldfinch, 3 reed bunting, 3 meadow pipit, 1 common gull on new water, blackbird,great tit,blue tit, dunnock,wren,robin, 2 chaffinch, 1m bullfinch, 3 jay, 1 grey heron over, 32 jackdaw over NW @ 11-30 ish 1 jackdaw SE about 10 mins later, magpie,carrion crow, wood pigeon, 5 black headed and 3 lesser black backed gulls over, diggle flash- c80 tufted duck C10 floods were frozen so some probably moved from there as i saw nothing at all on floods, c50 coot, 14 gadwall, 2m pochard, 2 great crested grebe, 2 little grebe seen 2 more heard only, 6 mallard, 2 moorhen, 17 black headed gull, 3 mute swan 2 residents on main flash 1 cygnet on stock pond talking to one gentleman who seems to think it may be the cygnet from the resident pair we had both heard stories the cygnet had died but this gentleman also heard it had been taken by the rspa unwell and thinks it may have been nursed back to health and returned ?

10.15 - 12.30 couple of things in addition to Bernard's post 1 Grasshopper Warbler giving good views reeling from a Blackthorn in C5 2 Whitethroat. hundreds of Swallow with half a dozen Swift and a couple of House Martin. no sign of Whinchat that Bernard saw earlier.
