THE BIRD SKIN COLLECTION WAS SUPERB WHEN WE USED IT ,IN THE 1980s,when myself and paul browne found the 1st county tawny pipits at pennington flash we had a visit, kindly set up by then pennington flash guru Dave wilson to age the birds we saw. They had litterally hundreds of pipit skins to conpare with them all dated as to were and when found.so it was a great help in ageing the penny birds.
After techcical advice a clicked on the relevent ariticle and i read an extremley interesting piece by ian, bringing back fond memories of long days ogling over the bird collection, again well done ian for taking us up a level on the birding skills.
