I used to go fishing there when I was a lad and it was always known as Whiteheads then as it belonged to Whitehead's Mill. Maybe since the demise of the mill, the name has reverted to the area.confused.gif Just a thought.

Nay lad, surely you`re not deserting Rumworth are you ? biggrin.gif Just out of interest Simon,why are they called Whitehead Res ? (presuming they`re the one`s to the west of Lowercroft Rd in the A-Z, I can`t find any reference to Whitehead). Might take a peep some day. wink.gif

Thanks Simon. Sounds like the right area, Tottington rings a bell. Used to with a mate and his dad so was never sure excactly where it was. I'l get on google maps.

Three bits of water and a small woodland between Starling and Walshaw(just south of Tottington). I saw a couple of fishermen on the lower res.

Some of you might remember this site for the drake Long Tailed Duck a few years back that stayed for about a month, its certainly an interesting area with potential, abit underwatched but not anymore. biggrin.gif
