Leeds/Liverpool Canal - Bridge 78 (Botany Bay Chorley) to Bridge 90 (Riley Green) and return. Nice to meet guy (from Eccleston) who was doing the full 127 mile canal walk from Leeds to Liverpool over 4 days. Good luck!

YES But so did my wife No scope though! That's a family walk for me and i do tend to fall behind a lot,can't help it really. As Simon Barnes says, "you don't go birdwatching,you are always birdwatching"
Had a lovely walk today. Parked on Botany Bay car park and followed the canal towards Leeds (away from Botany bay)
Saw Whitethroat Kestrel Grey wagtail Reed Bunting Sedge warbler Lapwings with young Long tailed tits with young Nuthatches with 8 young Jackdaws with young Herons (young one in a tree but couldn't see an Heronry) Pied wagtail Blackcap Willow warbler Chiffchaff Swallows skimming the water, Lovely Swift House martin Sparrowhawk Pheasant Song thrush Mistle thrush Blackbird Robin Wren Chaffinch House sparrows, loads of em, which is less common these days.
