Just walking down the road last night, and spotted a Mandarin in the field. Had a good look. It was stood up. so had a really good view.it then flew to a pool in the next field. Guess it was one of the "Etherow contingent"

As an aside, today at my brothers house near Warrington, we were treated to a tree creeper climbing up the oak tree in his garden.smile.gif

Drove down due to weather. Made 200 yrds - saw a Kestrel Hover, and a very large cloud. Made it to the car, and back home in the rain

4 Herons and young in trees on the other side of the river. Looks like they may be nesting. will pursue.

Two young tawny Owls on top of a telephone pylon angle-ion behind the farm. Must have been half a dozen calling around the area

Juvenile GS Woodpecker making a continuos racket, and peeping out of nest hole. Adult coming and going.

Nuthatch again at nest box.

Nothing much else. It started to rain so put my bis away, and a "green/yellow thing" flew by. Assume a Greenfinch"?
