We've had quite a few through Audenshaw over the last few weeks but I had a total of 8 this morning

There was also another whimbrel at Ashworth Moor res tonight Steve. Seems to be a good year for whimbrel on passage.
200 lesser black backed gulls also passed through. 10 very richly coloured large wheatear on the bank which I assume to be greenland race.

A Whimbrel was circling over the reservoir at 19:00 hrs, calling, and departed to the west. A 2nd bird was on the spit in front of the club house and left shortly afterwards. Also a pair of Common Sandpiper displaying.
