Tonight 1 Reed Bunting 2 Whitethroat 20+ Linnets 1 Kestrel m 1 Lapwing 50+ Starlings 1 Starling came out of possible nest site 1 GS Woodpecker 1 Green Woodpecker calling from Frodsham Wood 1 Nuthatch calling same area Also 6 Bullfinches which i forgot to put on

i went to giants hall this evening and met up with ian(now desperate) woosey and jimmy(the ears )meadows and couldn,t locate the lesser whitethroat.jimmy suggested we try edge green lane ashton in makerfield as one had been singing this afternoon(near the junction with tarmac plant)but it was either sulking or had left the area when we got there.so if you get any reports of 'loads of birders in ashton' or more likley 'are they filming last of the summer wine,ignore it ,just us three 'dipping'.did have a very nice kestrel over viridor wood at sunset.
giants hall area is accessable from the junction of acacia cres and willow road where willow rd ends it then turns into standish wood lane you follow it up past giants hall farm till you come to the end of the bits of plantation and the bird is in that area tell ian give us a ring and if im about il show you the area jimmy
jimmy,help us out were is giants hall i,ll have a look mon evening if the lesser wth is still around,and ian woosey will probably pay you a visit he,s 'keen'to clap eyes on one
