The Garganey pair were showing well at 17:45 - both out of the water on the right-hand end of the spit.
Also a Ringed Plover bossing the LRP's about, 1 Redshank, 2 or 3 Dunlin and at least 1 Common Sand. and hundreds of Hirundines with 20+ Swifts but I only had my bins with me as I was on the way back from a meeting at Warrington.

arrived 9.20am after school run hoping wood sandpiper would still be there, thought i would be in with a good chance after all the rain last night .how wrong could i be . was told it had flown 8.00am ish, but i was soon smiling again after spotting my first dunlin,common sandpiper and lesser whitethrote.several Blackcaps about,willow warblers,sand martins,swallows, swift.little ringed and ringed plover on scrapes with oyster catchers,common tern,lapwing,commerants,gadwals and male and female garganeys which disappeared about 12.00 .from teal hide two little ringed plover ,snipe, teal lapwings and gadwall.
