It was a little quiet on the bird front at the pools this afternoon due to the peatworkers machinery making a racket.
Only found 3 LR Plovers
2 Snipe
1 Curlew
4 Redshank
2 Mallard
Also a pair of Shellducks were preening beside the far pool.
2 Willow warblers singing
5 Swallows over.

Woodpecker heard drumming near Moss bank farm on Rindle road.
4 Grey Partridge and 6 Pheasant in f67.

Cuckoo heard at distance while near Birch Farm.
Buzzard being chased by a crow over f59
2 pair of Wheatears in f52
A pair of Buzzards perched on fence posts in f12

Plenty of M pipits and Yellowhammers all over the moss and the numbers of Swallows are beginning to rise.
